Dr. Katherine Holshausen

As a clinical psychologist, I offer treatment and assessment services for adults and couples. My typical client is an individual or a couple struggling with the lingering effects of trauma, conflict, and disconnection. They are usually seeking therapy to foster healing, growth, and a deeper understanding of themselves and their relationships. They are often looking to rebuild trust, overcome emotional barriers, and nurture healthier, more fulfilling relationships with themselves and others. Ultimately, they want to feel more whole and empowered to experience life and love in a way that feels safe, meaningful, and authentic.

At our core, we want to be seen, understood, and accepted by those around us. When we've been through painful experiences, whether those be traumatic exposures or hurt in intimate relationships, we're left with the pain of feeling unseen and unimportant that gets in the way of who we want to be. Therapy provides a uniquely tailored and intentional path forward.

My interpersonal style is warm and open, integrating compassion, humour, and curiosity to co-create a new path to meaningful change. Life is tough sometimes and if it were easy to problem-solve, then you'd have figured it out already. It's just not always that easy. But, you're not alone. Let's figure it out, together.
